Renewing a passport is a straightforward process, especially for people who have undergone this procedure in the past. If this is your first passport renewal or you seem to have trouble with the process, you can count on us at Travel Visa Pro to help out as we understand that each second counts. Our agents who are available at our offices, by phone, on our site as well as on social media, are well-versed in such matters and will be happy to show you the ropes. Before getting into the renewal, an agent will take you through the eligibility for renewal to ensure that you are making the appropriate application.
If your passport is damaged, you will require applying for a new passport as opposed to renewing it. You should also ensure that you have not been in possession of your current passport for more than fifteen years and that you got it when aged sixteen and above. Failure to meet these two standard passport renewal requirements will result in you getting a new passport. Lastly, you should not have changed your name. If you have, then ensure that you have original documents showing the name change. If our agent finds that you do not qualify for a renewal, they will direct you toward the other passport options on our site. Either way, you will have your passport within a day.
When applying for an expedited renewal, proof or travel plans is chief among the standard passport renewal requirements. Other than these, you should have your most recent passport, two recent passport photos and two copies of DS 82 forms. We also require that you provide two letters of authorization for our agent to get rights to act on your behalf. On receiving the documents, our specialists will review them before submitting them to the state department. You will be the pleased owner of a renewed passport within 24 hours.
