Secure Employment with an FBI Background Check Apostille
If you plan to work outside the U.S, your employer could ask you to submit an FBI background check. Most employers are now asking for this document to gauge applicants before offering them paid positions. It absolves them of legal implications should something go wrong once they hire you. You could even require this check to obtain your visa or rent an apartment in a foreign country. So, the sooner you get it out of the way, the faster you can leave the U.S and embark on a new journey. However, securing the check is not enough- you must also apostille it.
What is an FBI Background Check Apostille?
An apostille is a certificate issued by the U.S Department of State certifying that the FBI background check is valid. Without it, you cannot prove that the background check is valid, which could deter your travel or employment plans. We advise that you get an apostille before leaving the country.
Please note that apostilles are only valid in foreign countries party to the Hague Convention. If you’re traveling to a non-party state, talk to us about getting your background check legalized instead. We also offer legalization services!
How Can You Get an FBI Background Check Apostille?
There is the easy way and the hard way. The hard way requires you to submit an apostille application by yourself to the Department of State. Unfortunately, this is often time-consuming and requires you to learn the government office requirements. Given the waiting periods and errors often associated with this method, you could end up delaying your travel plans. For most people, time is of the essence, and a slight delay could cost them significantly.
So, what’s the other option?- Leaving the apostille application to us, the experts! You can cater to different personal and business needs while we get this item out of the way. How does it work?
Step 1: Submitting the Original FBI Background Check
You will need to contact the FBI to get your background check. The good thing is that the FBI website is very user-friendly, and you can access the background check under the ‘Stats and Services’ tab. They will send you the results via email or PDF as requested when you are making your submission.
Once you have this out of the way, you will need to send the original report to us in either of two ways. If you receive the report in PDF copy, you can submit this in our online ordering process. However, if you get regular mail, you should email this to our office. Both options are okay as long as you send us the report in the form you received it. Copies are not allowed.
Step 2: Authorizing Our Services
Given that we will request the apostille on your behalf, you must authorize this transaction by completing our order forms. You do not need to show up at our offices to sign anything. Instead, you can complete the forms from the comfort of your home. Again, you can complete the whole process online or send it via regular mail when sending the background check. Remember to choose how fast you want your report apostilled. Standard processing takes six or fewer days, while rush orders take an average of three or four days.
We will review your order and inform you how much you should pay, including the expedition fees and additional costs. After breaking down the tentative completion date, you can send your document to us for processing.
Step 3: Receiving Your Apostille
Our team will go through the order and ensure that the background check meets the apostille requirements. If you need to make any changes, we will let you know at this point. We will then physically present your background check to the U.S Department of State, saving time on your behalf. That’s why we can rush the processing for urgent orders. So, if you need us to work on a time crunch, don’t hesitate to clarify this. Once the apostille is ready, we will collect it and send it right to the address indicated in your order form.
