For tourist Brazil visas you are allowed to stay for up to 90 days per entry into Brazil. Please keep in mind that in order to apply for the Brazil visa, your ticket must show a departure date no longer than 90 days after entry.
Do I have to send in my actual passport?
Yes, your passport must be submitted to the consulate of Brazil in order for them to place the visa inside. They will not accept a photocopy, it must be the original passport.
What type of photo should I upload to the Brazilian visa application online?
It must be a passport-style photo (white background, taken recently). Remember: it will be printed on your Brazilian visa.
Do you really need my bank statements for my travel visa? I do not feel comfortable sending that information.
Some countries (e.g. Brazil, Bolivia) require you have enough funds to support yourself in the country and will not issue a visa without it. You can remove any account numbers or sensitive information.
Do I need to purchase a flight to get a travel visa?
The Consulate simply wants to see a roundtrip reservation. It does not need to be a purchased ticket. You can make a reservation through several airlines, or contact a travel agent to assist you.
How Do I Show Proof of Travel for an Expedited Passport?
In order to expedite any passport applications, the US Department of State requires proof of travel within two weeks, or four weeks if you need a visa.
Proof of travel includes a flight itinerary, hotel reservation, cruise ticket, etc. You can also provide a letter from your employer if you need a passport expedited for work. If you are renewing your passport or are applying for a second passport, we can process your application without proof of travel.
If you have to have your application executed by an Acceptance Agent (i.e. New, Lost, or Child Passports), you MUST show proof of travel to the Agent or else they will not process your application per their regulations.

Is an itinerary for a future trip valid for expediting my passport?
Yes, as long as your travel itinerary shows an upcoming trip, it can be used to request expedited passport service, even if the trip is several months away.
My passport expired, but has a valid ten-year Chinese visa. Can I still travel or do I need to renew my Chinese Visa?
Luckily, you don’t have to apply for a Chinese Visa again. The Chinese government allows you to travel carrying both passports: a current valid US passport without a visa and an expired passport with the valid ten-year Chinese visa. If you lose your passport, however, you will have to apply for a visa again.
The US Department of State lists smaller passport fees than those on Travel Visa Pro. Why are the passport fees different?
The standard passport fee which you see on the official US passport website is for a standard 6-8 week processing time completed via USPS: $110 for adult passports and $80 for children under 16.
However, if you’re in a rush, the US Department of State collects an additional $60 fee to expedite passport applications. Therefore, the expedited passport costs $170 for adults and $140 for children.

I will be attending some meetings in China. Should I apply for a China business visa or tourist visa?
If the main purpose of your visit/trip is business, trade affairs, or commercial discussions then you must apply for a business visa to China. However, you are allowed to tour the country with a business visa. You do not need a separate Chinese tourist visa to see China’s cultural heritage.
In addition to all required paperwork, you should request a business invite from the inviting company in China.
