East Africa Visa to UGANDA

An East Africa Visa to Uganda allows you to travel to more than one East African country during your stay and it has made moving simple within the member states. With this document, you can embark on safaris between Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda without having to get another visa to the other two nations. It has a validity of ninety days. The thing with this visa though is that the application must take place regarding the country where your journey will start. In this case, given that you will begin your trip once you reach Uganda, we will make the application to Uganda.

Anyone who wishes to visit Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda for tourism is eligible to get an East Africa Visa to Uganda. It is vital that you note that if you leave the said countries and move to another state, you will lose the right to use this visa. As such, upon return to Uganda, another visa application will apply to you.

We will start off by guiding you through the online application. Here, our agents will let you know what documents you need and why. You should also provide us with two recent passport photos taken in a manner that is acceptable by the immigration office. Also, you should address a visa application letter to the immigration office in Uganda. Your US passport should not only be valid, but it should also contain un-used visa pages for the application to go through. Six months of validity on your current passport is acceptable.

Our agents will then work on the visa application, and you should get approval soon enough. Enjoy your trip to East Africa!

Visas and residency permits are not available at Entebbe Airport upon arrival. Visitors must apply on the Government of Uganda’s Electronic Visa/Permit Application System website for all immigration services such as visas, permits, and passes at least two weeks prior to travel.

U.S. citizens of Somali origin/born in Somalia will be turned around at the entry point if they arrive without the electronic visa.

For the most up-to-date visa information including fees, contact the Embassy of Uganda at 5911 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011; telephone (202) 726-7100 or visit their website. Travelers may also contact the Permanent Mission of Uganda to the United Nations in New York. Overseas, inquiries can be made at the nearest Ugandan embassy or consulate.

Ugandan immigration imposes a fine of up to $100 per day for visa overstays and may detain individuals who overstay their visas until the fine is paid. Be aware that the Ugandan immigration officer at the port of entry determines the length of authorized stay, which is generally from two weeks to three months for tourists. Immigration policies are not always consistently applied and may change without notice. Extensions of duration of stay may be requested at Ugandan immigration headquarters Jinja Road in Kampala. For more information on immigration issues, please see the Directorate of Citizen and Immigration Control website or call + 256 414 595 945. Avoid any offers by private individuals claiming that they can assist with visa issues.

The U.S. Department of State is unaware of any HIV/AIDS entry restrictions for visitors to or foreign residents of Uganda.
