Getting a business visa to Uganda follows the same path as that of a tourist visa with a few changes here and there. Travel Visa Pro will guide you in this regard and thanks to our team of dedicated agents; you will hardly have to lift a finger in the process. We start off with an online application which you will complete, print and sign before submitting it to our agents. We also require that you provide us with an original passport that is in a valid condition and with at least six months validity remaining. We offer expedited renewal services if your passport has less than six months on it. We also require that you provide two passport photos taken in the last three months and which are an authentic likeness of you. Other than these records, you should have an itinerary as to your trip to Uganda. It can either be a copy of your round tickets or valid information as to the places you wish to tour in the country. You should also include hotel reservations at this stage.
The government in Uganda has stringent guidelines regarding yellow fever vaccinations, and you cannot gain entry to the state without having gotten the vaccine. As such, our agents will advise you on the nearest clinics where you can get the shot. There are two ways in which you can prove your purpose of travel. You can use a business letter drafted by the company that sent you or that of the sponsor company in Uganda. The letter should get written by a senior level employee and should be to the embassy of Uganda. You can also use a business invitation letter drafted by the sponsor company in Uganda. It should be by a senior person in the organization and should be to the consulate of Uganda. Our agents will show you ways to go about this for quick approval.
With these documents in our hands, you can rest assured that your business visa to Uganda will be ready in no time.
Visas and residency permits are not available at Entebbe Airport upon arrival. Visitors must apply on the Government of Uganda’s Electronic Visa/Permit Application System website for all immigration services such as visas, permits, and passes at least two weeks prior to travel.
U.S. citizens of Somali origin/born in Somalia will be turned around at the entry point if they arrive without the electronic visa.
For the most up-to-date visa information including fees, contact the Embassy of Uganda at 5911 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011; telephone (202) 726-7100 or visit their website. Travelers may also contact the Permanent Mission of Uganda to the United Nations in New York. Overseas, inquiries can be made at the nearest Ugandan embassy or consulate.
Ugandan immigration imposes a fine of up to $100 per day for visa overstays and may detain individuals who overstay their visas until the fine is paid. Be aware that the Ugandan immigration officer at the port of entry determines the length of authorized stay, which is generally from two weeks to three months for tourists. Immigration policies are not always consistently applied and may change without notice. Extensions of duration of stay may be requested at Ugandan immigration headquarters Jinja Road in Kampala. For more information on immigration issues, please see the Directorate of Citizen and Immigration Control website or call + 256 414 595 945. Avoid any offers by private individuals claiming that they can assist with visa issues.
The U.S. Department of State is unaware of any HIV/AIDS entry restrictions for visitors to or foreign residents of Uganda.
