Do You Need a Passport to Go to Argentina?

Visiting Argentina is an opportunity for you to bathe in the natural wonders it offers. Not only can you enjoy culture and history, but you also get to explore geological attractions. You must have a passport to get through immigration, and it should meet the following requirements:

  1. It should be valid at the time of entry. Please note that it should also be valid during your stay and departure. Traveling with a passport close to its expiry date will have you turned away at the airline or the border. You can avoid this hassle by renewing your passport before leaving the U.S.
  2. It should have at least one blank page. If your passport has run out of pages, you can renew it and get one with adequate pages.
  3. It should be in good condition, devoid of visible wear and tear that has erased the details. So, if you have altered or damaged your passport, you should get a replacement.

Also, you must have the original passport. You cannot get through immigration with copies of your passport. If you have reported your passport lost or stolen, you can get a new one by applying for a replacement. Please note that failure to meet passport requirements will have you sent back to the U.S. at your expense.

Dual citizens should also hold valid Argentine passports, which they should use to depart Argentina.
