Can You Get a Passport in a Different State?

The thought of heading to your home state for a passport application may frustrate you. But the good news is that you can apply for a passport from any state, even if you are not a resident!

How to Get a Passport from a Different State

The passport application process is standard. If you are a first-time applicant:

  1. You will need to compile the necessary paperwork: DS-11, proof of identification and citizenship, and two passport photos,
  2. You will present yourself at the local acceptance agent with your documents: Since you are using an out-of-state I.D., you will need to have another I.D. too for identification which should detail your name, D.O.B, etc.

If you are renewing your passport, you will only need to include 2 passport photos, a complete DS-82 form, and your most current passport. Travel Visa Pro has nationwide offices and several branches in various states. Thus, regardless of where you are, you can count on us to expedite your passport in days!
